After graduating from the Nürnberg-based Johannes-Scarrer-Gymnasium (economics high school), Brigitte Gotthard-Paul studied Law at the Friedrich Alexander University in Erlangen-Nürnberg (major: Business Law), more specifically, Political Science, History of Law, and Business Administration.

 

She completed her studies with the First State Examination in Law [Erstes Juristiches Staatsexamen].

 

Following her internship at the Higher Regional Court in Nürnberg as well as other positions, she received her Attorney at Law license after passing the Second State Examination in Law [Zweites Jurististisches Staatsexamen]. In addition, she completed an internship at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Nuremberg.

 

She practiced law for several years in a competition law firm and in a medium-sized company in the metal industry afterwards.

 

As of 1991, she has been an attorney with the Tergau & Walkenhorst law firm, which emerged from Tergau & Pohl in 2011. Since then, she has been particularly responsible for the trademark and design protection inquiries.

 

Brigitte Gotthard-Paul's core competencies are the development of an individual intellectual property rights profile and strategic consulting services for her clients (especially companies).
